The innocence of a home movie is called into question when the filmmaker’s grandmother unexpectedly denies the consent to be photographed.

In an effort to respect her wishes, the possibility of collaboration opens. What constitutes legibility, and the desire for it are both re-imagined and re-negotiated once the notion of the director becomes more opaque.
